Discussing Personal Finances

Wrong:  Inflate your own finances to try and impress the others you are talking to. Bringing up particular winners(?) or new purchases you've just made to outdo others.

Right:  Do not exagerate, try not to use actual figures but instead generalize. Don't show off or brag about your success. Don't try to upstage the person(s) you are talking to about your financial position.
